This Privacy Policy describes how GScreenshot Lite ("we", "our", or "the extension") handles user information when you install and use our browser extension.

1. Our Commitment to Your Privacy

We believe that your personal data belongs to you. GScreenshot Lite is designed to be fully client-side: all processing, drawing, and uploading take place entirely inside your own browser window. We do not operate any web servers or databases to store, transmit, or analyze your screenshots.

2. Information We Request and Process

To provide screenshot synchronization to your Google Drive account, the extension requests the following OAuth 2.0 authorization scopes:

  • `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file`: This allows the extension to create new image files, update them, and read only the files that were created by the extension itself. We cannot view, modify, or delete any other files or folders in your Google Drive.
  • `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.email` & `https://www.googleapis.com/auth/userinfo.profile`: We use these scopes to display your email address and profile avatar inside the extension's popup interface, letting you easily see which account is currently linked.

3. Local Storage

The extension stores configuration options, cached profile info (email and avatar link), and the temporary canvas capture state in your browser's local sandbox (`chrome.storage.local`). This data is private and cannot be read by other extensions or websites.

4. Third-Party Services

All uploads are made directly to the Google Drive API. Because of this direct integration, your data usage is also governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

We may update this policy periodically. Any changes will be updated directly on this page, and the "Last updated" date will be updated accordingly.
